Puka Nacua, the son of Lionel and Penina Nacua, was born on May 29, 2001. Kai Nacua, the oldest brother, plays free safety for the Michigan Panthers of the United States Football League (USFL). His professional career has seen him play for the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, and New York Jets. Meanwhile, his brother, Samson Nacua, was a wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts in the NFL and is now a member of the Pittsburgh Maulers in the USFL.

Similarly, another of their brothers, Isaiah Nacua, played collegiate football at BYU and was a well-recognized defensive lineman while attending Bishop Gorman High School. Finally, Tei Nacua, the youngest brother, is a wide receiver at Timpview High School and has already garnered offers from collegiate teams, indicating his bright future in the sport.
