Burton began playing tennis at the age of seven. She reached a career-high ranking of 172 (singles and doubles combined) on the Junior circuit, achieved in July 2010. Burton began dating television presenter Caroline Flack in August 2019. On December 12, 2019, police were called to Flack’s London apartment after she allegedly assaulted Burton by hitting him over the head with a lamp. Burton called police from Flack’s apartment and was allegedly “asking for help” from the operator, with Burton saying “he tried to kill me, dude.” Flack’s lawyer testified during the proceedings that Burton did not consider himself a victim, but rather described him as a witness. Flack committed suicide in her apartment on February 15, 2020.Since November 2020, he has been in a relationship with model and businesswoman Lottie Tomlinson. His daughter was born in August 2022.
