Injuries and irregularities hampered the Lakers’ season, finishing 33-49 and 11th in the Western Conference. It means LeBron James and the rest of the group will enjoy some free time early this year.
The Orlando Magic also had a forgettable season, but no one expected them to cut down trees. All things being equal, the Orlando Magic’s Twitter account continued to mock LeBron James. After playing their final round of the NBA season on Sunday night, they tweeted, “I’m authoritatively out for the season.” “See you all in the fall.”
It was a duplicate, down to the emoticons, of LeBron’s somewhat ill-planned April Fools’ kid about being gone the rest of the time. James said it was a joke, but it exploded in light of him missing the final five laps of time and the Lakers missing the end of season games.
