LCpl Kumar was nearly hit several times by passing cars, but the investigation heard that he did not appear to be aware of the danger. He was seen ‘wobbler’ and ‘wobbler’ before he was struck. She added: ‘He was the life and soul of the party. He loved to go out to socialize, whether it was to eat or drink, he valued spending time with his friends, and that always made him very happy. He was always happy, and always smiling, he had the most amazing smile. She was so proud to be his mother.
LCpl Kumar, who had three brothers and was also from Wrexham, joined the Army in 2019 and recently served in Afghanistan. At Salisbury Coroner’s Court, coroner David Ridley concluded that alcohol was impairing his thinking and that it would have been difficult to see because of his dark clothing.
