Lacey Purcival posted the video to TikTok, which shows a DoorDash driver she identified as Corey delivering dinner to her home. The delivery man can be seen ringing the bell and Purcival opens the door and greets him. This pizza arrived hot.
A Texas woman shared the shocking moment a pizza delivery guy cursed her out for the $5 tip she gave him for an order she said was only $20.
After nearly dropping the pizza when she pulled it out of her sleeve, Corey handed her the pie as Purcival enthusiastically thanked him. As she started to walk back to her car, Corey turned around and said, “I just want to say it’s a good house for a $5 tip.”
“You are welcome!” replied an obviously puzzled Purcival. “Fuck you,” the driver spat as he stepped out of frame. “So how much should I tip for a $20 cake?” Purcival captioned the TikTok video. According to her, the tip that upset delivery guy Corey amounted to 25% of the bill.
Reactions to the video were strong, with many expressing their disbelief at the man’s behavior. “I guess he was hoping you would tip him the house,” one commenter wrote. “Haha 5 bucks on 20$ is the 25% you need to not only learn your manners but learn your MATH as well,” wrote another.
“I would be afraid to eat the food after this interaction. It’s so rude,” said a third. Many viewers said that Purcival should report it to DoorDash and rescind the $5 she had already given him.
She replied that she had tried but the app wouldn’t let her. “I tried but the app wouldn’t let me delete it. He needed it anyway, I hope he uses it wisely,” Purcival said. DoorDash did not respond to requests for comment from The Post.
