Kristo Langker Wiki – Kristo Langker Biography

Kristo Langker, who works for Jordan Shanks, also known as Friendlyjordies, was arrested at his Dulwich Hill home on June 4.

The arrest comes after the deputy prime minister took legal action against Shanks for what his legal team has described as a series of “vile and racist” videos accusing Barilaro of corruption. Police will allege that the crimes were committed at Macquarie University on April 19 and in Sydney on June 4.

Langker’s lawyers said they were “very concerned” about “misinformation that the police appear to have acted upon.”

Charges – Arrested

Mr. Langker was charged with two counts of stalking / intimidation with intent to cause fear of physical or mental harm. NSW police said the first of the alleged crimes occurred on April 19 at Macquarie University, where Mr Barilaro was speaking.

The second incident occurred in Sydney on June 4, the same day that Mr. Langker was arrested. Xenophon Davis, attorneys acting for Shanks’ team, questioned the NSW police version of events, calling Langker’s arrest “very alarming.”

“We are very concerned about the misinformation that the police appear to have acted on,” said Mark Davis, a partner at the firm, in a statement. We have the video of the interaction with the deputy prime minister and it does not seem to agree with the police events. ”

Davis told ABC that Langker had asked Barilaro “legitimate journalistic questions” and that he was outrageous that they were arrested for what he described as “trivial actions.” Davis said that defending the charges against Langker was putting pressure on Shanks’ ability to fight the defamation allegations against him.

The comedian, his attorney said, could face bankruptcy due to Barilaro’s lawsuit. Langker received a strict probationary bond and will appear in Newtown Local Court on June 24. New South Wales Treasurer Dominic Perrottett said he was not aware of the arrest, but that he had “complete faith” that the police would handle the matter appropriately.

“We support free speech, that’s an important liberal principle, so it’s really not a problem for us,” he said.

New South Wales Nationals Deputy Leader Paul Toole said people need to be “aware” of how they act and behave when using social media. In a statement of claim filed last month, Barilaro’s lawyers said he was defamed by Shanks in a video posted in September titled “Bruz.”

In the video, Shanks delivers his comment on camera as he sits in a bathtub at Barilaro’s Albury property that he rented on Airbnb. In the video, he allegedly insulted the deputy prime minister in reference to Barilaro’s Italian heritage.

Barilaro’s lawyers allege that “Bruz” and two other videos imply that Barilaro is a corrupt con artist, committed perjury, and acted corruptly by participating in the blackmail. The Nationals leader is also suing Google for not responding to his request to have the video removed for “vile and racist” language.

Shanks’ online channel has more than 480,000 subscribers and regularly posts videos commenting on Australian politics. Mr. Barilaro has been contacted for comment.
