Joan Lynn is the 1st wife of Bobby Ball, an English comedian, actor, and singer. He was best known as one half of the double act Cannon and Ball, with Tommy Cannon. It is being reported that Boby died on 28 October 2020 at the age of 76, after testing positive for COVID-19.

Ball married his first wife, Joan Lynn, in 1964, with whom he had two sons, Robert (born 1965) and Darren (born 1969), who are now a comedy double act in their own right, performing under their surname ‘glen’. Ball and Lynn separated in 1970.
Ball married his second wife, Yvonne Nugent, in 1971. In an interview on BBC Tees on 28 June 2016, Ball said that he met Yvonne while performing with Cannon at a club in Norton, County Durham: “We were playing there … she came downstairs in a little mini skirt, looked at me and Tommy, shook her head and walked away. I thought, ‘I’d spend my life with her.’” Ball and his wife lived in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire.
The couple has one daughter, Joanne, and lived together in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire.

Yvonne Ball Confirmed the news of his Husband’s Death
In the official statement on 76-year-old Bobby’s death, Yvonne mentioned how “wonderful” hospital staff were.
The statement read: “It is with great personal sadness that on behalf of Yvonne Ball, and the family, and Tommy Cannon, I announce that Bobby Ball passed away at Blackpool Victoria Hospital on the 28th October 2020 approximately 21:30.
“Bobby had been taken to the hospital for tests as he started with breathing problems. At first, it was thought to be a chest infection but a test proved positive for Covid-19.
“His wife Yvonne said the hospital and staff could not have been more wonderful, as they were outstanding in their care of duty and they did everything possible for him and she cannot praise them enough.
“She said that the family and Tommy would like to express their sincere thanks to the many, many people who have been fans of Bobby and they know that they will all share in part the great loss and total sadness that Yvonne, the family, and Tommy all feel.
“Yvonne added that their need for privacy at this time has to be a priority. No further announcements or statements will be made.”
