What Happened To Jesus On Easter Sunday & Why Do We Celebrate It?

Week-long celebrations ring at the soul of the occasion, with mass supplications beginning on Good Friday and ending on Easter Sunday. This year the day falls on April 17.

For the people who follow the Christian faith, Easter Sunday marks the triumph of good over evil, the resurrection and the reality that will win, while pagan festivals signify the difference of season. After three days, heavenly messengers are believed to have removed the stone, and Jesus Christ was raised from the grave and appeared to his followers. Consistently on this day, Easter Sunday is noted. It is also called “Restoration Sunday” as Christ came back to life on that day.

Why do we celebrate Easter Sunday? Christian followers celebrate Easter because they suspect that Jesus Christ came back to life three days after his execution on Good Friday.

His body was removed from the cross and released in a cemetery. After three days, Jesus came to life again. He appeared to one of his disciples, Mary Magdalene, as he left the tomb. In addition to Easter Sunday, it is considered blessed throughout the week to go before Easter.
