Footage shows a lone suspect firing a bullet in the head of 47-year-old Jermaine Dixon as the victim got into his car that was parked on South Conduit Avenue near 132nd Street in South Ozone Park around 8 a.m. on Monday. The moments leading up to the murder were also captured on video, offering clues to the suspect, who appeared to be faking car trouble as a way to stay undercover.
Investigators are also looking into the possibility of the suspect posing as a Hasidic man, sources said. The suspect had parked a white Nissan sedan in front of Dixon’s vehicle and, at one point, the hood, trunk, and driver’s door were ajar, the video shows.

Shocking surveillance video obtained by The Post shows the moment a man was shot and killed in a morning ambush on a Queens street this week. When Dixon came into view, the suspect ducked under the hood momentarily before launching the attack when the victim turned to open the door of his car, according to footage.
The suspect then ran across the street and fatally shot Dixon at point-blank range. Immediately after he was shot, Dixon’s body went limp and he collapsed into the driver’s seat as his killer retreated into his car and sped away from him. As of Wednesday night, the suspect was still at large.
According to sources, the unidentified suspect shot Dixon in the head and then fled the scene in a white sedan. The motive for the shooting remains unknown and is under investigation. Officers from the 106th Precinct responded to reports of the shooting along with EMS units, declaring Dixon dead at the scene.
