Jeffrey Evans Wiki – Jeffrey Evans Biography
Jeffrey Evans, 55, is wanted for allegedly targeting the 65-year-old woman, who had just collected the money she had earned collecting cans, on St. Edwards and Willoughby streets in Fort Greene at 4:40 p.m. Sept. 28. Police identified the man they believe in Tuesday dragged a woman and beat her during a robbery in Brooklyn, and the NYPD chief cop said she’s no stranger to the criminal justice system.
Evans had 11 open court cases when he targeted the woman in broad daylight, Police Commissioner Dermot Shea said Tuesday morning during an appearance on FOX 5’s Good Day New York program. One side will say that as long as he shows up in court, everything is working fine,” said the chief constable. “And I would say that not everything is working well. They forget about the victims who are going through the pain of incidents like that, and how much damage one person could do. So that’s a complete and utter failure in my book. ”
Jeffrey Evans Suspect – Wanted
As the commissioner has done in the past, he pointed the finger at the state bail reform law that took effect last year and kept many attackers out of jail.
“This is what happens when you change the system too drastically without the involvement of law enforcement,” he said in 1010 WINS. “You wouldn’t take your car to the mechanic and tell him what to do. You have to listen to the police when it comes to these changes in criminal justice, and I think you’re seeing results when that didn’t happen. ”
Video released last week shows the victim running into the street to avoid the man, who is running after her. A fight ensues in the middle of the street, as the suspect repeatedly pulls the bag, but the brave victim refuses to hand it over. The suspect is shown punching the woman in the face and dragging her onto the sidewalk, where the fight continues. The woman eventually held onto her purse, and the suspect got back on his bike and pedaled.
Several people passed through the street and sidewalk while the suspect was fighting with the victim, including two people who were a few meters away as the incident unfolded. The victim, who suffered from pain and swelling in the face, in addition to back pain and cuts to the body, was taken to the Brooklyn Hospital Center in stable condition.
