Early life Jakob Ingebrigtsen was born on September 19, 2000 in Norway, where his family should have been. Jakob started his life as a tutor at a private school in Sandnes and spent all of his time on Earth there to receive an education.

After setting the record, Jakob became the second most youthful champion of the occasion. On the final spin, Ingebrigtsen interestingly outpaced Timothy Cheruiyot, who won the silver prize.

On June 10, 2021 at the Diamond League in Florence, Italy, Jakob set another European record in the 5000m with his season of 12:48.45, in a race where about six contenders outmaneuvered a 12:55 period. Ingebrigtsen set his most memorable senior world record, timing 3 minutes 30.60 seconds for the 1500 meters indoor on February 17, 2022, breaking Samuel Tefera’s youth record by 0.44 seconds. At the 2022 World Indoor Championships in Belgrade, Jakob Ingebrigtsen was beaten on occasion by Tefera with 3:32.77, CR, either way he tried earnestly and took second place with the extraordinary time record of 3:33.02.
