Jaimi Lee Kenny is the daughter of Lisa Curry and Grant Kenny. Lisa Curry, a three-time Olympian, and Grant Kenny, who won bronze at the 1984 Olympics in canoe sprint, separated in 2009 after 23 years of marriage. They also share daughter Morgan Gruell and son Jett Kenny. Jaimi also had a half-sister, Trixie Box, whom Grant shares with radio and TV personality, Fifi Box.

Lisa Curry shared a heartwarming message to her daughter for her birthday. She captioned a series of photos of Jaimi through the years: “Happy birthday to our beautiful Jaimi… 33 today! Our firstborn. Really…. where have all those years gone! Have a lovely day bubba. We all love you so much.”

Jaimi Lee Kenny died at Sunshine Coast University Hospital in Birtinya, Australia on 14 September 2020, at the age of 33 after a long battle with illness. Former Australian sporting stars Lisa Curry and Grant Kenny, a former champion Ironman, announced the death of their daughter, Jaimi Curry Kenny, in a statement on Monday. Kenny said in an official statement on behalf of the family:
“It is with a very heavy heart that Lisa and I confirm that our beautiful daughter Jaimi has lost her battle with a long-term illness and passed away peacefully in hospital this morning in the company of loving family. Jaimi will forever be remembered as a caring, bright and loving soul who always put others before herself. Our hearts are broken and the pain is immense but we must move forward cherishing every wonderful moment we got to share with our treasured first child. It goes without saying that this is a very difficult time for family and friends and we trust we will all be allowed to grieve in privacy.”
