Career Beginnings

He formed a production company – Homeboy’s Production and Advertising – with the help of Michael Fechter, a comedian as well. The two started working on several projects together, which included a McDonald’s commercial for the sandwich the “McJordan”, that had Michal Jordan as its star. He was slowly progressing, and in 1987 secured a job as a writer for the NBC comedy series “A Different World”. He continued to hone his writing skills, first with the show “Roc”, and then served as a co-producer of the show “The Sinbad Show”.
