Kanpur September 8 (IANS) The Start-up Innovation and Incubation Center (SIIC), the innovation business hotbed at IIT Kanpur, has been chosen as India’s lead facilitator for the ‘ASEAN Start-up Festival- India 2022’. The celebration is being coordinated in Indonesia from October 2730 to mark the 30th commemoration of the ASEAN-India Partnership.
The occasion is intended to celebrate and reinforce the participation and joint effort between the ASEAN-India Association in the space of Science and Technology. It is endorsed by the Department of Science and Technology (DST.
According to a statement from the authority, as the main organizer of India, SIIC IIT Kanpur is welcoming startups across India to be a part of this celebration.
A sum of 30 Indian startups will be shortlisted to join the nomination to target India in this discussion.
Commenting on SIIC, IIT Kanpur as the planning body for the ASEAN India Start-up Festival, Professor Abhay Karandikar, Director of IIT Kanpur, said: “India is becoming a global forerunner in the start-up scene. and development.
I am glad that IIT Kanpur Biological Breeding System can share its learning of twenty years, with new hatcheries from India and ASEAN countries. Strong collaboration in the area of science and innovation between India and ASEAN countries is the need of 21,100 years.”
He said that the celebration will open different paths for cooperative development in exploration and advancement among the participating countries.
The ASEAN-India Commissioning Festival is being coordinated in connection with the Indonesian Research and Innovation Exhibition (INA-RIE) by the Indonesian National Research and Innovation Agency.

The ASEAN-India launch celebration will offer Indian startups an opportunity to partner with organizations and financial backers from the global field and further strengthen cross-ties with ASEAN nations.
Startups will also be able to participate in the coordinated ‘Pitch Battle’ and win a monetary reward of up to $7,500.
