Former MLB star Hobie Landrith died Thursday at age 93. When he was only in his tenth grade, Landrith met his future wife Peggy at the Estabrook Sentence Structure School. They were honored with six young people: Linda, Gary, Carol, Randy, Beth, and David Landrith.
Hobie Landrith died in Sunnyvale, California on April 6, 2023. He was cited as the first Met by a large number of his fans. Jay Horwitz, vice president of publicity for the Mets’ graduating class, made the declaration of his death on Saturday.
Horwitz turned to his online entertainment, saying: “He told me that I was the first person from the association to bring him north in 50 years. Hobie, a left-handed catcher, was excited and said he generally appreciated his brief time with the Mets. Hobie and Roger Craig shaped our most memorable drum kit in the season opener in 1962. Today I’m so happy I made that decision as last Thursday Hobie died at 93 years old. I’m happy that he realized that we often think of him.”
The former MLB star died Thursday at the age of 93. From now on, his six sons defeat him.

Who are the children of Hobie Landrith? When he was only in his tenth grade, Landrith met his future wife Peggy at the Strabrook School of Sentence Structure. They were honored with six children: Linda Landrith, Gary Landrith, Carol Landrith, Randy Landrith, Beth Landrith, and David Landrith. Landrith’s partner gave birth to Randy on November 18, 1954, while Landrith was participating in a winter ball in Puerto Rico.
Hobie went home for the work day to fly home to visit his new dependent son, with the agreement of the pool owner. The downside to this was that despite having the third-highest batting average in the association, his team excused him after paying for a return flight and only making him compete in one game. Later, his son David was born on October 14, 1961 at the Plants Emergency clinic in San Mateo, California, four days after the Mets drafted Landrith.
Landrith is currently supported by his partner, Peggy, their sons and girls, his brother Dale, 11 grandchildren, and an amazing 11 grandchildren.
