Herbert Hutner Wiki – Herbert Hutner Biography

Herbert Hutner was the husband of Juli Reding, an actress known for her film twists including Tormented and Mission in Morocco, along with numerous television guest-star appearances, died on Sept. 16, according to a report in the Springfield News-Leader. She was 85 years old. Reding made more than 20 film and television appearances between the 1950s and 1980s, and was perhaps best known for Tormented, a horror image from filmmaker and visual effects artist Bert I. Gordon, who appeared in the series’ fourth season Mystery Science Theater 3000.

In the feature film, she played jazz musician Tom Stewart’s (Richard Carlson) ex-boyfriend, Vi Mason, who returns to haunt him, after he drops her and dies. Reding signed a contract with Warner Bros. in the 1950s, and also appeared over the years in such films as Helen Morgan’s story, Cowboy, Darby Rangers, Vice raid, Mission in Morocco and Why must I die?.

The actress also appeared as a guest on series including Mr. Adams and Eve, 77 Sunset Strip, Enclose, Sea Hunt, The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, Branded, Burke’s Law, Dr. Kildaire, Great valley, and Murder, she wrote, among others. Reding was born in Quanah, TX on November 28, 1935, and moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting after graduating from Southwest Missouri State University. At various times, she claimed honorary titles, including Ms. Los Angeles Press Club, Ms. Los Angeles Dodger, and Ms. US Air Force.

Reding is survived, according to News-Leader, by his son Christopher D. Taylor and his grandson Christopher H. Taylor, his sister Judy Siebert and his stepchildren Lynn Colwell and Jeffrey J. Hutner, along with nieces and nephews.

Hutner died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on December 7, 2008, just 2 weeks before his 100th Birthday.
