Heather Young, a 42-year-old mother from Marshall, Michigan, was shot, consumed and dismantled by an Onaway elder named Brenton Walker, who met her at a bar and offered her a place to stay for the night. Young was visiting her love Terry Gary in late July 2016, but she left just in time after the two got into an argument.

A grisly crime scene including Heather’s bones and assorted possessions was found in a fire pit at Brenton Walker’s home. Walker eventually admitted wrongdoing, claiming that he snapped and killed Young out of anger because she helped him remember his ex and many other women in his everyday life that he felt had been raped. Heather Young, a mother of three, was visiting her love, Terry Gary, in Onaway in late July 2016.
