Hannah Dodd is eager to join the “Bridgerton” story. In yet another meeting with TVLine, the actor discusses taking over Francesca’s concert for season 3 of the hit Netflix series. Francesca had recently been played by Ruby Stokes, who gave her the lead role in the series “Lockwood and Co.”
“I’m so excited,” Dodd says of joining the show. “Everyone has been so beautiful. I just accept that it should really work.” The new season will focus on the feeling between Nicola Coughlan’s Penelope and Luke Newton’s Colin. “I really enjoyed Colin and Penelope’s story,” says Dodd, “so I really look forward to seeing how it turns out in our twist.”
Dodd further says that when he dove into the “Bridgerton” books, he first focused on the Francesca-centric book, “because I didn’t have the foggiest idea what I’d gotten myself into, but I was hoping to look at that immediately. It’s an especially exquisite book, and she’s an especially beautiful person. I really can’t acknowledge that I can play her.”
She adds, “I understand how people feel about her, so I will invest some bold energy.”
