A convicted murderer named Gonzalo Lopez, 46, escaped a transport last week and escaped his shackles and a locked area before going after the driver and is still on the run.
Lopez, who was serving life in prison, was transferred to an exam on May 12 in a restricted section of the transport targeting high-ranking crooks, according to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
