Edward Walker Wiki – Edward Walker Biography
A Fort Lauderdale, Florida jury found Edward Walker of New Haven guilty last week of two counts of forcible sex trafficking and coercion and transportation of a person for sexual activity during Super Bowl 2020. the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida said Friday.
A Connecticut pimp was convicted of sex trafficking of two women and a teenager in last year’s Super Bowl and now faces life in prison, authorities said. Prosecutors said Walker took two women and a 17-year-old girl from Connecticut to Miami in January 2020 before Super Bowl LIV at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, where he forced them to sell sex for money, “all of which” stayed.

Edward Walker Arrested – Charges
Walker had also planned to bring the women to Chicago during the NBA All-Star Game in February and to Mardi Gras in New Orleans, where he planned to sexually exploit them, prosecutors said. A criminal complaint obtained by the Miami Herald shows that Walker was arrested after an undercover officer responded to an online ad from a sex worker named “Foxxy,” whom the investigator met at a Comfort Suites Inn in Kendall in January.
“Foxxy,” said the other woman, the 17-year-old and Walker were planning to move to Arizona from Connecticut, but headed to Miami before the Super Bowl. Walker then took them to a strip club and tried to get them jobs, but they weren’t hired because they had no identification, according to the complaint.
“Foxxy” said Walker bought the women high heels and “ordered” them to walk down Ocean Drive, where they were forced to prostitute themselves for sexual acts. Walker also threatened to beat the 17-year-old if he did not earn enough money by selling his body, the complaint says.
Walker then decided to advertise online when the two women and the teenager were not making any money. The 17-year-old also told investigators that Walker had previously advertised on backpage.com and taken her to Texas before, the Miami Herald reported. Walker, who was also charged with producing child pornography in June, faces life in prison when sentenced Jan. 6, federal prosecutors said.
The FBI announced Walker’s arrest in February 2020, saying he was one of three people arrested by his Task Force on Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking on federal sex trafficking charges during the Super Bowl festivities. Despite the fact that large events are considered sex trafficking centers, the FBI said there is “no reliable data” showing an increase in human trafficking “at large-scale” national “events. “Reporting of human trafficking crimes occurs more frequently in some regions of the United States than others or is prevalent during large events,” the FBI said. “Unfortunately, human trafficking is not limited to one area and can occur anywhere and at any time.”
