Dylan Menante is an expert golfer from the USA who has been named to the All-American list twice; by Golfweek and the GCAA/PING as a minor. Dylan led Pepperdine to a tie for third in the NCAA Championship and the public elimination rounds during his minor season. He was named the second consecutive West Coast Conference Player of the Year and also received notable notice of All-America recognition from the GCAA and Golfweek. Dylan earned silver distinctions on the WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, was a Pepperdine Scholar Athlete, and was named a GCAA All-America Scholar during his final season with Pepperdine.

Dylan Menante transferred to the University of North Carolina After the 2022 NCAA Championship, Menante transferred to the University of North Carolina. He surprised everyone when he decided to quit Pepperdine 10 days after he finished his junior year. Menante provided a couple of clarifications about his unexpected release while speaking to the Global Golf Post.
As Dylan indicated, he and his mentor did not generally get along. He found them very unique in relation to him, explicitly, much more extroverted, and found it difficult to engage in an argument. Dylan also acknowledged that living away from school didn’t make him feel so good. Going from a small, remote and confidential Christian school to a prestigious state-funded university, Menante wanted a more mainstream school experience that he didn’t get from Pepperdine.
Moves like this, while uncommon, pose some fascinating problems for Gen Z school golfers competing when trade entry is so inevitable in NCAA Division I sports.
