Du’Vonta Lampkin, a former Oklahoma football player, was found dead in Texas on Thursday night. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, the 25-year-old was found dead from gunfire by the Dallas Police Department. He played protective lineman for the Sooners from 2015 to 2017.

Officials were sent to 500 square of S. Ervay Street around 10:10 p.m. on Thursday. Lampkin was seen lying on his back with a lone discharge wound when police arrived on the scene.
Lampkin was tragically announced killed on the spot. He lived on the Airbnb while holding back from moving to another home, examiners indicated. Some of his own merchandise had disappeared from the site, specialists indicated.
The Dallas Police Department is now looking for someone with information on the case to reach them.
