Leandro De Niro Rodríguez, the grandson of Robert De Niro, died Monday at the age of 19. His mother, Drena De Niro, broke the news of his death on Instagram, posting a photo of the teen.

You have been my joy, my heart, and everything that was always pure and real in my life. I wish I was with you right now. I wish I was with you. I don’t know how to live without you, but I will try to move on and spread the love and light that you made me feel so much being your mom. Who is Drena DeNiro?
Drena De Niro is the daughter of Robert De Niro and the ex-Diahnne Abbott. Robert adopted her after marrying her mother in 1976. Drena is an actress and filmmaker. During her childhood, she divided her time between New York City, Los Angeles, and Italy.
She began her career in the entertainment industry working as a model. Due to her interest in fashion and music, she became a DJ and fashion consultant. She soon began working as a music supervisor for Giorgio Armani, working behind the scenes and managing runway coordination.
