Dimis Christophe said, ‘the so-called teachers are trying to shove their trash ideology down the throats of our children.’ On Thursday, August 12, Parents Against Critical Theory, an advocacy group that “strongly opposes critical race theory in all its forms,” shared a video on Twitter from Loudoun County Public Schools that took place on August 10. The tweet read: “Iranian Christian rock star tells the board in response to stupid pressure from pronouns to call his children ‘King and Queen’ and address him as ‘Teacher’. This is classic! ”
The Iranian-Christian immigrant father criticized the LCPS board for presenting ideologies to students and urged teachers to adhere to the school’s curriculum rather than “shoving their junk ideology down the children’s throats.” It was reportedly during the same meeting during which a teacher announced that she would resign due to the proposed new rules for the assertion of transgender people.

“Dear disgraced board members, you think you have woken up, but let me wake you up a bit more,” Dimis Christophe said in the video. “We [his family] are the minority of minorities in this country [United States]. Our ancestors and our people survived the massacres of the Turks and ISIS.”
“I grew up in Iran as a Christian. And when we went to school, as much as the government wanted to indoctrinate us, the teachers wouldn’t allow it,” he said. “They didn’t try to shove propaganda down our throats as the ayatollahs did. Now, in the 21st century, we have warriors for social justice. The so-called teachers are trying to shove their trash ideology down our children’s throats.”
“These are our children, not yours,” he said. “Your job is not to raise my child or my neighbor’s child. Your job is to teach our children math, science, biology, literature, and that’s it. Not ideology. Now you want to push trash like ‘pronouns.’ Heck, Does that stop a child from being successful? How does that help them? ”

“You want to shove that garbage down my children’s throats,” he said, “I will have you call my children king and queen. This is how you will call my son and daughter. And when you look at me, you will call me teacher.”
On Wednesday, the LCPS approved Policy 8040 by a 7-2 vote. The policy, called Gender Expansive and Transgender Student Rights, sparked debate and anger among parents. Policy 8040 will reportedly require teachers to use students’ preferred pronouns and will allow “gender-expansive and transgender students” to participate in sports and other activities “in a manner consistent with the student’s gender identity.” School board policy also states that transgender students may use school facilities that correspond to their “consistently asserted gender identity.”
While Christophe and several others rejected the policy, there were also those who supported it. “This is not pseudoscience. This is not some kind of ideology. These are people’s lives. These are civil rights, and I encourage all of you to embrace this policy, ”said Amber Beichler, LCPS student. “My son is a son of God. It is not an error. Please, I would like you to support 8040 to protect him and all the other children here in Loudoun County. Thank you, “said Emily Kuehl, mother of an LCPS transgender student.
