Dezirae Andersen was found dead after falling from the roof of the OYO Times Square hotel on West 47th Street around 10:30 p.m. m. Tuesday. The boyfriend of an aspiring model who fell from the top of a Times Square hotel has confessed to police that he “remembered hitting her” moments before.
Andersen and her boyfriend Tyler Griffin, 24, had stayed at the hotel with their eight-month-old baby after traveling from Littleton, Colorado. Hours before her death, Andersen, who also had acting ambitions, posted a Times Square video on social media of her, with her friends ever since, paying tribute to the “beautiful soul.”
Griffin allegedly punched Andersen repeatedly during the incident that began on the 10th floor and spread down the hallway, police said. He is also accused of pulling on Anderson’s baby’s arm with such force that the eight-month-old fell down the stairs.

A hotel guest caught the baby, who miraculously suffered no injury in the fall, but was hospitalized for evaluation. Authorities say Andersen then made his way to the roof before jumping to his death. Police responded to a 911 call reporting an assault.
When officers arrived, they discovered the young woman on the second-floor scaffolding outside the hotel, unconscious and unconscious. In Manhattan Criminal Court on Wednesday, Judge Paul McDonell released Griffin, who has no criminal record, after arraignment.

An NYPD spokesperson previously told DailyMail.com that “additional investigation determined that a 24-year-old woman and man had an altercation in a hotel room where an eight-month-old girl was present.”.
Griffin was taken into custody Tuesday and arrested on charges of assault, reckless endangerment, and acting in a manner injurious to a child under the age of 17. He was described as being in an emotionally disturbed state and had to be electrocuted with a Taser in the hotel lobby while being detained.
The city’s medical examiner’s office has yet to determine the manner and cause of death. Police said the eight-month-old baby will be in the care of the city’s Administration for Children’s Services.
