Playing the artist in the biopic ‘Odd: The Al Yankovic Story,’ the 33-year-old entertainer reviewed how Yankovic showed him how to play the instrument before the role, reports aceshowbiz.com.

“In truth, the thing we covered the most together was the accordion,” Daniel told IndieWire at the debut of Eric Appel’s film at the Toronto International Film Festival.

“He gave me some examples of accordion, which is something I can keep secret forever. I do not want any thing else. The animator doesn’t expect the audience to be able to take “a moral” from the film, but believes the parody helps people immerse themselves in their own “strangeness.”

The ‘Harry Potter’ star said: “This is not a movie that we anticipate where you have to drop and take a moral from the story.”

“However, assuming there is something to it, it is related to the inclination towards your own weirdness and that is an approach to finding your own satisfaction,” Radcliffe continued. “(Yankovic) is really himself and that has motivated this excellent film, as well as his incredible calling.”

Evan Rachel Wood portrays pop icon Madonna in the film, but questions whether the artist will respond to the film. She said: “I don’t think she will respond in any way. She has different things at the forefront of her thoughts and different activities.”

The 35-year-old entertainer continued: “I love Madonna. I have met her before. We have been cordial. So I think we’re good. I trust we are fine. Also, the encouraging news is that nothing in this movie actually happened, so I’m kind of sheltered there.”
