In February 2023, Aiden Fucci admitted to lethally slashing 13-year-old team promoter Tristyn Bailey in 2021. Fucci’s mother, 35-year-old Gem Smith, also has to deal with penalties related to the wrongdoing. She, whatever she was, has argued not responsible.

The specialists reported that Gem Smith was arrested on Saturday. She was blamed for messing with the evidence when her son allegedly killed Bailey. Gem’s arrest warrant revealed that reconnaissance film from home cameras caught her cleaning Aiden’s pants between 12:55 p.m. Further examination found that the pants and sink tested positive for blood.

“During the period of the examination, an observer distinguished that [Aiden Fucci] was wearing pants on May 8, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. before the murder of [Bailey].”

The arrest warrant appeared to address records recovered earlier, which stated that Fucci was allegedly wearing a light-colored hooded sweater, shorts, and white shoes with a dark Nike logo.

Fucci’s mother, Gem Path Smith, was recently charged with tampering with evidence for washing her son’s pants after the crime. Similar has been affirmed by the St. Johns District Sheriff’s Office.

Prison records revealed that Smith was booked around the afternoon and then turned over at 1:40 p.m. local time. She was held at the St. Johns Region Sheriff’s Office Confinement Center and was awarded a $25,000 bond. The sheriff of the province, Robert A. Hardwick, attended the serious episode and said:

“Without a doubt, I’m happy for the folks at the St. Johns Region Sheriff’s Office for going through this examination thoroughly. Our goal in any examination is to ensure proper accountability, no matter how you look at it, for an effective prosecution.”
Hardwick further expressed:

“Gem Smith will be held accountable for her work in this situation and a fair outcome will be rendered for Tristyn Bailey and her loved ones.” State’s Attorney RJ Larizza made an announcement about Aiden Fucci’s mother’s possible contribution to the crime, saying:

“Aiden Fucci, you have erased me… You have taken my girl, my past, my future.” – Stacy Bailey, mother of #TristynBailey, Casualty Effect Statement.

At the time Aiden Fucci was first questioned, Smith was heard telling him to “find his story and stick with it.” News sources found letters in which Fucci’s mother referred to him not stopping saving. She supposedly composed:

“As a mother, the adoration you have for your child challenges them to speak nicely to other people, except if they are mothers themselves.”
She further added:

“From a mother arguing in the interest of her youngest son’s existence, kindly offer my Aiden genuine kindness; he is not past being saved.” Gem Smith also allegedly wrote a letter conveying his condolences to Tristyn’s loved ones.
