Addressing different examiners, McCoy said that he did not know Spraggins.
Nonetheless, responding officials tracked down an image of McCoy on the visor of Spraggins’ vehicle and took him in for questioning. After five hours of cross-examination, McCoy admitted to killing Spraggins, Hayes said in his statement.
Specialists also found mail addressed to Spraggins and ultrasound images in McCoy’s surveillance vehicle. McCoy’s life partner, Abigail, was also questioned about the episode. She even brought up the occasion in December when someone named “Courtney” shot and blew up McCoy’s phone.
According to specialist Hayes, McCoy said he felt undermined by Spraggins as she could attack his life, one in which he wanted to marry his life partner Abigail in April.

McCoy tested positive for gunshot accumulation. Agents also found the firearm used to commit the crime, and it was not his administration’s weapon. They found Spraggins’ protected phone inside a cupboard in McCoy’s attic at Weston Farm.
Hayes staged an instant message between McCoy and Spraggins. When the victim asked McCoy what she should do if he didn’t accept her, he replied: “A headshot sounds great to me.”
Madison Area Representative Chief Prosecutor Tim Gann said the district attorney’s office is seeking capital punishment against the defendant and would almost certainly document two additional capital punishment charges against him.
