“I’m moving to Scottsdale, [Arizona], and a little later he’s moving to Los Angeles,” he said of himself and Evans, a wedding videographer. “It’s just an isolated 50-minute flight, but we’re both chasing our dreams. I think as far as the region, we both feel like those are our ideal places to be. I manage my PC 10, 12 hours every day, so she said, ‘Clayton, I’m moving to LA, plus soon after that we can go out at the end of the week to see each other.'”

As for hoping he’s sure the strategy will work, Echard seemed, by all accounts, confident he could do it.

“We’ll see. We couldn’t say if we’ll like that critical distance. [thing]… People might look at us and think, ‘Thoughtful, they’re tuning out,’” he said. “However, last weekend she went to film a wedding and I missed her doom. Just when she came back, it seemed that the distance made her heart grow fonder. We haven’t had the option to keep our hands off each other. Lately we have been associated with each other.”

Regardless, that’s what Echard is confident that “a little distance never hurts,” saying that both he and Evans can go back to living apart if the distance proves too difficult.

“She has her own dreams and goals and I accept that we will try,” he said. “If she doesn’t work and we’re like, ‘We could get by without this distance, she’s biting us,’ then one of us will move on to the next person.”

Despite his impending moves, Echard said he and Evans are “very happy right now and in a really unprecedented place.” The update came after the pair had a wild Bachelor fling, in which Evans turned down Echard’s request for a relationship after learning about him exercising in other Fantasy Suites, before reconnecting with him after the show.

“We went through it. Together, though, luckily,” she said. “She has been my partner and that is the fundamental defense of why I can stay here with so much energy, this is a consequence of her.”

“I don’t think I would have had the breakthrough that I have had despite her alone,” she added. “…We shouldn’t for a second worry about being there brainstorming for anyone but ourselves. We’re not doing this for Bachelor Nation or anything like that. However, we both showed up at the finish line and said, ‘Learn to expect the unexpected. No matter what happens, we will always be grateful for part of each other’s lives, as we both became better people.’”

Exactly when ET attended to Evans after the end of The Bachelor, he greeted Echard and told him: “There were scandalous conversations or serious minutes, even though I am extremely pleased with him for resting in his sense, and just being the kind person and compassionate that he is and [for] turning out to be so much more through this.”
