However, the police pressed Mary under their prime suspect, as she appeared to be the most important person in the house. They had her take a lie detector test, which she throttled, but since there was no evidence linking Mary to the murder, the specialists had no choice but to let her go.

A while later, when the police saw Mary’s phone records, they discovered that she had called a number several times on the night of the murder. The song had a house with Danny Cannon, Mary’s cousin.

She had also called another number, who was staying with Thamous Miller, Danny’s companion. Anyway, the police didn’t have much to do.

Mary also tried to take advantage of Carl’s disaster protection schemes after Carl’s death. Before they could, however, the police caught three of them.

Each of the three guilty parties made pleas. Mary and her cousin argued against first degree murder and were given 30 and 25 years separately, while Thamous was sentenced to 20 years for admitting to first degree murder.

Where could Mary Dixon and Danny Cannon be now? Each of the three guilty parties remains in jail so far, despite actually having parole hearings.

Mary Dixon is now imprisoned in the McPherson unit in Newport, Arkansas. She will be eligible for parole in 2035. Danny Cannon, her cousin, is currently being held in the Grimes Unit in Newport, Arkansas. His qualification for parole is in 2031.
