Brenda Strong , real name Brenda Lee Strong, born March 25, 1960 in Brightwood, Oregon, is an American actress, director and producer.

Childhood

She grew up in the city of Portland before moving to Arizona, where she graduated from Arizona State University and was even crowned Miss Arizona in 1980.

Career

She is an actress better known for her roles in television series, rather than films. Brenda Strong began her career in the 1980s, appearing in Billy Crystal’s “You Look Marvelous” music video and landing her first guest roles on television in St. Elsewhere in 1985, MacGyver , and Cheers in 1986.

In cinema, as well as on television, she made a few appearances such as The Wild Stuff in 1987, Red Dragon in 2002 … She quickly became a regular in appearances in the most popular series such as Dallas in 1987, Star Trek: The Next Generation in 1988, Twin Peaks in 1991, Little Flower in 1991 and 1992, Dawson , Gilmore Girls and CSI: Las Vegas in 2001, Malcolm in the Middle in 2002 and many others.

In addition, she joined the recurring cast, lending her features to the character of Lillian Luthor in the superhero series Supergirl (2016–2019). Most recently, she was invited to appear in season 2 of the drama series 13 Reasons Why (2016–2019), as Nora Walker. On September 7, 2018, her character was promoted to regular character in the third season.

She appears in two feature films: Deported and Road to Redemption .

She married Tom Henry on July 8, 1989, with whom she has a son, Zakery Henry, born in 1994. The couple divorced on June 6, 2013. Since May 2, 2015, she has been married to actor and director John Farmanesh-Bocca.

She also has a career as a yoga teacher in Santa Monica, California, a discipline she highly recommends, particularly for its fertility benefits, and she even owns her own company.
