Bodycam video displays Boy, 4, shoots at cops after father is detained at McDonald’s

Bodycam video shows Boy, 4, shooting police after father is detained at McDonald’s Utah’s MIDVALE – A 4-year-old fired shots at police during a February incident at a McDonald’s in Utah, according to body-cam footage provided by police. In a 12-minute video, Sadaat Johnson’s capture and what unfolded when one of his children fired at the police while they were in the drive-through is shown in full.

On Feb. 21, around 1:30 p.m., McDonald’s employees called the Unified Police Department to report a man who was rested and showed it after receiving an unacceptable request. Staff members encouraged Johnson to move to the front of the cafe after reporting the incident to police.

Johnson was driving a vehicle with a 4-year-old and a 3-year-old at the time. As recorded on tape, he resisted the officials’ requests to escape from the vehicle each time. Police at that time opened Johnson’s front door and removed him from the vehicle.

While trying to catch Johnson, an officer turned and saw a gun sticking out of the back window. He yelled “weapon” before firing a shot.

The officer used his hand to brush away the firearm when the gunfire struck the top floor of the McDonald’s building. The driver of the vehicle was then yelled at by the officer to put the gun down until, after further investigation, the officer understood that it was a young child.

As police escorted the children out of the vehicle and away from the crime scene, they heard crying. Police said a startup investigation revealed that the 27-year-old had asked his youth to shoot at the police. In any case, the court records obtained by FOX 13 show that the youngster ended his discharge from the police because “he needed his father back”.

Johnson informed police that he “fainted” for 30 seconds during their discussion of his request, leading to his arrest. Regardless of the security film in which Johnson allegedly showed the firearm to the employee, Johnson also denied doing so, as court records show. Johnson also informed police that his 4-year-old youth had recently approached a firearm.

Sheriff Rosie Rivera said in a statement following the February incident: “To trick an adult into thinking that it is all in all correct to [4]-year-old who threatens to use a firearm and shoot at the police shows how wild the mission against the police has become.” “This has to stop and we really want to function as a local area to solve the problems that plague our areas. Civil servants are meant to serve and secure, which is why it seems unbelievable that something like [this] could happen.
