Bindi Irwin delivered a conscientious acknowledgment about her late father, Steve Irwin, on Sunday, 16 years after the creature controller’s shocking passing. “Grandpa Crocodile, I know you would have been the most beautiful grandpa because you were an exceptional father,” Bindi wrote, alongside a photo of herself as a child with her father, controlling an alligator.
“Grateful to you for being an amazing guardian angel for Grace,” added the new mother. Bindi, 24, has a 1-year-old daughter with her partner, Chandler Powell, whom she married in March 2020 around the start of the covid pandemic. Last year, the energetic couple revealed how they viewed Steve Irwin under the name of their young man, Grace Warrior Irwin Powell.
Despite Bindi’s post, her younger relative, Robert, also presented an acknowledgment to his father. Terri Irwin, Steve’s partner and mother of Robert and Bindi, also shared two photos of their family in recognition of “The Crocodile Hunter” star. “The part of Steve’s life that he loved the most was being a father,” he said, adding that he would be “very pleased” with his two children.
