Big Little Lies had us hooked when it first hit our screens as far as it would go in 2017. Throughout Seasons 1 and 2, we follow the ladies of Monterey, California through genuinely *heartwarming* dramatization and typically the spectators are after additional.
It’s been over a long time since Season 2 dropped in June 2019, but will a Season 3 finally kick off? Here is the beginning and the end that we know so far.
What has the cast said regarding Big Little Lies season 3? Tragically, the HBO set has not confirmed a third series. However, it sounds like some people from the Big Little Lies cast would be rushing back to the show assuming Season 3 continued.
Series lead Nicole Kidman discussed a possible series 3 with SiriusXM radio personality Andy Cohen on December 7, and it certainly looks like it would be on the cards. Appearing on the Radio Andy show, Nicole was asked, “Assuming you can go back to something you’ve done, do a sequel to something, or go back to a person you’ve played up until now, is there anyone you believe? … is there more story to tell?”
Nicole was quick to pitch the HBO series, replying, “I think we’d all love to do a Big Little Lies 3 show, you know?” However, she added that nothing has been confirmed, replying “I have no idea” when knowing if there could be a third series.
He clarified, “I realize that we, all of us, are very, very old friends and cooperate once again. I mean, in a real sense Laura [Dern] just sent me a message. Besides, he intended to see Reese. [Witherspoon] and Laura the night before, but… I was working.”
Nicole went on to say that a season 3 is sadly “not in the cards” but that she “would like to finish it anyway.” She continued, “being together and, you know, pinpointing in your life where you’re going, ‘It’s great to be around people I like to be around and work with people I like to work with, let alone in a . .. hit show like that. So, you know, though, that’s not it, it’s not in the cards, but definitely, we might want to do it.”
Is there a Big Little Lies season 3 delivery date? As Big Little Lies season 3 has unfortunately not been confirmed at this time, there is also no word on a possible delivery date. Season 1 was initially delivered in February 2017, while Season 2 came about 16 months later in June 2019.
Since we’re already in late 2021, any gap between Season 2 and a potential Season 3 would be bigger than we’ve seen recently. Big Little Lies Season 3 Cast: Who Can Star? Nicole Kidman was recently confident about the possibility of a possible Season 3, hinting that other people from the driving cast would also be available.
He told Marie Claire Australia in October 2020: “Reese [Witherspoon] and I talk or text once a week. He just moved back to Nashville and we’re really close. We as a whole simply need to cooperate once again. I texted Zoë [Kravitz] and Laura [Dern] and they are inside. [Writers] David [E. Kelley] and Liane [Moriarty] have a truly intelligent thought for it. Look at this space!”
Other cast members recently included Shailene Woodley, Meryl Streep, and Alexander Skarsgård, so we hope to see them reunite again soon.
Is there a Big Little Lies season 3 trailer? Obviously, as season 3 hasn’t been announced, that also tragically means no trailer. In any case, you can remember the dramatization that was season 2 here:
