Autumn Carver Wiki – Autumn Carver Biography

Autumn Carver “wants to go home to our children asap,” says her husband Zach, who has been sharing updates on her battle for health since she was hospitalized on August 25. Autumn Carver is on the road to recovery, and her family couldn’t be happier. The Indiana mother of three, who has been battling the side effects of COVID-19 for months, was finally released from the hospital’s intensive care unit on Wednesday, according to an update posted by her husband Zach Carver.

“Autumn Carver came out of ICU today,” Zach wrote alongside a photo of him and Autumn, 34, smiling in the hospital. “She has her own bathroom and orders food from the menu! We are still working on the ECMO wounds,” she continued. “We still have some obstacles to overcome, but she is really doing very well. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

The next day, more good news followed when Zach revealed on Facebook that Autumn, who recently met her third child, Huxley, after giving birth on a ventilator, had also had her feeding tube removed.

“She walked the hallways and worked on upper body strength with OT [occupational therapy] and she did it very well,” she noted. “She got a big compliment this afternoon from her occupational therapy specialist. He said that Autumn was one of the patients, if not the hardest workers, that he had ever had.”

“I am very proud of her dedication and her fights. She wants to go home to our children as soon as possible,” added Zach. Autumn was first hospitalized on August 25 after testing positive for COVID-19 while she was pregnant with her third child. The Indiana mother decided not to get a vaccine after discussing her three previous miscarriages with a doctor, according to NBC affiliate WTHR.

However, in a recent health advisory, the Centers for Disease Control urgently warned pregnant women to get vaccinated against COVID-19 because of the significant risks of hospitalization or death from the virus. Pregnancy significantly increases the chance of hospitalization or death if a person contracts COVID-19.

During Autumn’s medical battle, which her husband has continued to document online, Autumn was put on a ventilator before delivering Huxley by emergency cesarean section. She was later transferred to an ECMO machine, where she stayed for about two months while the virus wreaked havoc on her lungs.

In recent weeks, Autumn has shown signs of improvement, and Zach noted on Facebook how she was being slowly disconnected from the ECMO machine and doing more activities independently. She also met Huxley in an emotional reunion on October 19, which Zach called an “incredible moment.”

“His parents, one of his best friends, and many nurses and doctors witnessed the special moment. I don’t know if there was a dry eye in the area,” he wrote about his wife when she met his son. she. “What a wonderful day. We have a long way to go, but a good day was sorely needed.”

In addition to Zach’s updates on Facebook, the Facebook group “A Healing for Autumn” was created to inform loved ones about her ongoing progress. A GoFundMe page was also launched for the Carver family to help with medical expenses. So far, it has raised over $ 52,000. After Autumn’s most recent update, her loved ones shared the exciting news on the Facebook group: “Autumn sets goals and crushes them! She always has! So proud of her! She will be home so early!”
