Austin Gossett is a Pittsburgh man who was sentenced to eight years in prison on opioid charges, according to Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt. Additionally, police officers served a warrant at a home in the 1100 square of S. Joplin Street in Pittsburg around 8:40 am Thursday, according to KBI representative Mark Malick. Specialists captured 24-year-old Austin Gossett on suspicion of controlled substance ownership with the expectation of dispersing.
In fact, about 2.5 kilograms of MDMA in tablet form, commonly known as ecstasy, and 2.5 kilograms of MDMA in powder form, known as Molly, were recovered, Malick reported. The seized ecstasy is believed to be valued at $100,000 in the city, while the Molly is worth around $250,000.

Following a multi-organization opioid bust in southeastern Kansas, the Kansas Attorney General’s Office has filed charges. After police recovered 10 pounds of medication at his Pittsburg home on Thursday, a Pittsburg man was booked.
On Thursday morning, police seized $350,000 worth of MDMA from a condominium at 1108 South Joplin. They located 5 pounds of MDMA pills, also called joy, and 5 pounds of MDMA powder, also called molly.

Neighbors say the raid was unbelievable and police say the area is generally not a problem. Other claims include having Tramadol and Lorazepam for the purpose of dispersing them, as well as having drug substances.
