A family in Oklahoma is grieving the death of a mother of two small children who was shot and killed by her estranged husband earlier this month. According to information provided to local media by the McClain County Sheriff’s Office, Konrad Pfannestiel fatally shot his wife Ashley Pfannestiel on April 8 in Blanchard, Oklahoma, a town located about 30 miles south of Oklahoma City.

The suspect then shot at the police, who returned fire several times, before he killed himself by turning the gun on himself. According to the local ABC affiliate KOCO News, the sheriff’s office has stated that the officer was wounded many times but is making a full recovery.

Last week, a friend of the Pfannenstiel family started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the family’s burial costs and children’s support.The page, which was made by a family friend named Kenny Rodgers, states that Ashley’s life revolved around having two children, Fallon and Karson.

Ashley never stopped showing her children’s photos to her relatives, friends, and anybody else who would watch. Those infants will never know how much Ashely loved them because she was a wonderful mother with a beautiful heart, and she didn’t deserve what happened to her.”

Family members discussed Ashley with the local media. Stephanie Poole, her mother, told the local KFOR that “she was fun.” She was the party’s life and soul. Absolutely everyone loved her as their best friend. According to Kristy McKinney, Ashley’s sister, the family was appalled by Konrad’s conduct.

According to McKinney, “She is a person that we respected in our family, that we really liked, and that we trusted with our sister and her children.” “When they got married, we all celebrated. We treat him as if he were a member of our own family and we support him as a person.

The family disclosed to KOCO that on March 29, Ashley had requested a victim protection order be issued against her husband. Konrad was required to surrender his guns to the local law enforcement as part of that order. He never did, though.

The family’s lawyer, Kim Rennie, stated on social media this weekend, “I couldn’t be more proud of this family for standing together to ensure the children of this senseless tragedy are cared for,” adding, “RIP Ashley Pfannenstiel, your babies are well loved and safe.”
