Arunita Kanjilal was born on January 18, 2003 in Calcutta, West Bengal. She finished tutoring her at St. Xavier’s School, Kolkata. Arunita started preparing in traditional preparation since she was four years old. His underlying teacher was his maternal uncle and he later received further training from Ravindra Ganguly of Pune.

Arunita appeared on the show Zee Bangla, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs in 2013 as a competitor and ended up winning the show. The following year, he appeared in the unscripted public television drama, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs, which aired on Zee TV.
