Allah Rakha Rahman considered as Dileep Kumar; January 6, 1967) is an Indian filmmaker, record producer, craftsman and performer who works fantastically on Indian films (particularly Tamil and Hindi films) and sometimes films from around the world. In 2010, the Indian government awarded him the Padma Bhushan, the third highest standard resident honor in the country. Rahman’s honors include six National Film Awards, two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, one BAFTA Award, one Golden Globe Award, fifteen Filmfare Awards and seventeen Filmfare Southern Awards.
Rahman first made sheet music for different accounts and jingles for Indian television trailers and openings. With his in-house studio Panchathan Record Inn, Rahman’s vocation as a soundtrack composer began in the mid-1990s with the Tamil film Roja. After that, he went on to compose a couple of tunes for Tamil-language films, including Ratnam’s politically charged Bombay, metropolitan Kadhalan, Thiruda, and S. Shankar’s sideshow film Gentleman. Rahman’s score for his most notable Hollywood film, the farce Couples Retreat (2009), won the BMI Award for Best Score. His music for Slumdog Millionaire (2008) won him Best Original Score and Best Original Song at the 81st Academy Awards. He was also awarded Best Compiled Soundtrack Album and Best Song Written for Visual Media at the 2010 Grammy Awards. He is nicknamed “Isai Puyal” (melodic storm) and “Mozart of Madras”.

The image is a throwback to him when he was young and regularly fans couldn’t help but love the young man who turned out to be a fantastic artist.
