He was initially tried at left tackle but was later transferred to right tackle. He didn’t have much success, since he played in a reserve role in five pre-season matches, and then was inactive for regular-season games after he suffered an elbow injury and missed practice time. He made his regular-season debut in 2006, appearing in six games during the season, however, he was let go by the team in February of the following year.
