Alberts, who will start his new job on Monday, expressed his support for another former Husker, football coach Scott Frost, who is off to a mediocre start in his return to Lincoln. Nebraska has recorded four losing seasons in a row and has rarely been a factor in the Big Ten’s run, let alone the national championship races that Cornhuskers fans got used to a generation ago.
