Andrea Schroder Wiki – Andrea Schroder Biography
Andrea Schroder is the wife of Ricky Schroder. She is an interior designer. Ricky is an American actor and film director. As a child actor, billed as Ricky Schroder, he debuted in the film The Champ (1979), going on to become a child star on the sitcom Silver Spoons. He has continued acting as an adult, usually billed as Rick Schroder, notably as “Newt” on the Western miniseries Lonesome Dove (1989) and in the crime-drama series NYPD Blue.
Schroder made his film debut as the son of Jon Voight’s character in The Champ, a 1979 remake of the 1931 film of the same title. He was nominated for, and subsequently won, a Golden Globe award in 1980 for Best New Male Star of the Year in a Motion Picture. Following his role in The Champ, Schroder was removed from school by his parents in the third grade to focus on his career. He moved to Los Angeles with his mother, but his father remained in New York City and kept his job with AT&T. The following year, Schroder appeared in the Disney feature film The Last Flight of Noah’s Ark with Elliott Gould. He also starred as the title character in Little Lord Fauntleroy, alongside Alec Guinness.
Schroder then became well known as the star of the television series Silver Spoons. He played a starring role as Ricky Stratton, the son of a wealthy and eccentric millionaire, Eddie Stratton. His performance earned him two Young Artist Awards. He struggled with his identity as an actor when Silver Spoons ended. Prospective roles were rare, and he was mainly designated to play boyish-looking teenagers or blond-haired heartthrobs. Schroder avoided the vices of other child actors and attempted to establish himself as a more mature actor, dropping the “y” from his first name. His mother enrolled him in Calabasas High School, but Schroder had trouble adjusting to the new environment.
In 1988, the year after Silver Spoons ended, Schroder starred in a prime time CBS TV movie based on a true story, the drama Too Young the Hero, as 12-year-old Calvin Graham who passes for 17 to enlist in World War II. He also appeared as the guest timekeeper in Wrestlemania 2 for a match between Hulk Hogan and King Kong Bundy.
After graduating from high school, Schroder enrolled himself in Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colorado. Still accepting jobs in various TV movies during this time, Schroder still struggled to establish himself as a serious adult actor, modifying his childhood nickname to Rick Schroder.
He eventually bought a large piece of land in Colorado. His co-starring role in the Western miniseries Lonesome Dove and its sequel, Return to Lonesome Dove, helped in his attempt to be recognized in more mature roles. His roles as Danny Sorenson on three seasons of NYPD Blue, nurse Paul Flowers in Scrubs, Dr. Dylan West on Strong Medicine, and Mike Doyle on the 2007 season of 24 worked to cement that perception with the viewing audience.

Schroder helped get Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse
Actor Ricky Schroder and My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell both helped get Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse out of jail on a $2 million bond Friday, according to a report.
The baby-faced gunman — who faces murder charges in the Aug. 25 shooting during Black Lives Matter protests in the Wisconsin city — posed for a pic with the “NYPD Blue” actor after the bond was posted by his lawyers on Friday, CBS affiliate WBBM-TV reported. Lin Wood, one of Rittenhouse’s lawyers, posted the photo on Twitter shortly before 9 p.m.
“FREE AT LAST!!!” Wood wrote on the post, which shows a smiling Rittenhouse standing between Schroder and attorney John Pierce. Thank you; All Donors. Thank you, All Patriots. Thank God Almighty.”
Rittenhouse, of Antioch, Illinois, claims he acted in self-defense when he shot and killed protesters Anthony Huber, 26, and Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and wounded a third man while with a militia group during protests of the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
Blake was shot seven times in the back by Kenosha cops during a domestic disturbance, sparking anti-police demonstrations.

Rittenhouse fled to Illinois but surrendered to police there the following day, and was later extradited back to Wisconsin to face trial.
The teen has become the darling of conservative and pro-gun groups.
More than $500,000 has been raised through a legal defense fund and through donations from high-profile supporters, WBBM said, including Lindell and Schroder, who first gained fame as a child actor in the 1979 classic “The Champ” alongside Jon Voight.
Meanwhile, Rittenhouse’s release on bond didn’t sit well with John Hubert, whose son was killed by Rittenhouse.
“He has people out there who will help him, organizations, militia groups raising money for his defense right now,” he said.
“He thinks he’s above the law. He’s been treated as such by law enforcement. He believes he’s justified in the case, and for him to run wouldn’t surprise me.”
The teen allegedly used his $1,200 coronavirus stimulus check from the federal government to purchase the AR-15 rifle used in the shootings.
Because he was under 18, Rittenhouse allegedly bought the weapon through an older pal, Dominick Black, 19, who now faces felony charges in the case and is awaiting trial for his role.
Schroder’s Net Worth is $8 million.
