Who is Andrea Constand? Andrea is a local from Toronto, Canada who played ball while in school in the US and later as an expert in Italy. In the mid-2000s, Andrea took on an assignment at Temple University, Pennsylvania, supervising girls’ basketball group activities. Around a similar time, she met Bill Cosby, a college graduate. At first, a fellowship developed, and Andrea said Cosby welcomed her to the meals and offered guidance on her vocation.

Andrea recalled that Cosby had made lewd gestures at her in the past when he inappropriately contacted her after unbuttoning her jeans. However, one night in January 2004, she went much further than that. That night, she said Cosby met her at her home in Pennsylvania to talk about her calling. When Ella Andrea arrived, she said Cosby gave her blue pills and asked her to drink wine. However, a few moments later, she Andrea felt confused and losing consciousness.

Cosby then, at that point, proposed laying her down on the couch, and Andrea later said, “I knew his hands were on my breasts. Her hands were in my jeans and her fingers were in my vagina. . . . I also remember him taking my right hand and putting my hand on her penis. . . . He couldn’t move my body. I was basically frozen.” She woke up a couple of hours after the fact, somewhat naked, and she finally left. However, as Cosby would later say, he thought what happened was consensual, saying, “I don’t hear her say anything, so I go ahead and go into the area that’s close to clearance and dismissal. I don’t stop.

While Andrea went to the police in January 2005, the specialists ultimately did not file charges because they felt there was not much evidence despite the irregularities in Andrea’s story. She subsequently privately addressed any outstanding issues in a common lawsuit and was paid more than $3 million. In an affidavit that was later revealed, Cosby at the time confessed to receiving quaaludes in the past to support women she needed to have sex with.

Furthermore, the lead prosecutor of those days had made a deal to avoid indicting Cosby on the assumption that he made confirmations during the class action statement. However, as more women grew closer over time, the new chief prosecutor decided to try it against Cosby. Eventually, he was charged with three disgusting fits of anger according to Andrea and two others. The responsible decision was great news for Andrea, who thought that asserting against her was the right thing to do.

Andrea also communicated her failure when Cosby’s conviction was affected by a detail in 2021. Despite that, she spoke about not changing the way she did things, adding: “It was worth the effort. In any case, it was worth the effort as I did not feel alone. I had a whole territory, a whole crowd of women and other survivors, outsiders, family, friends, who were there with me. Charge Cosby is free, but it doesn’t change the way my plea was accepted.”

Since then, Andrea has written a book detailing her process, called The Moment. In fact, she lives in Toronto and has a back massage business there.
