Once again, almost two years after the murder of George Floyd by then-Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, Amir’s death stunned Minneapolis.  Amir Locke was a 22-year-old African-American man from Maplewood, Minnesota, who grew up in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan region.

When Amir appeared with a gun and raised it towards a police officer, the officer shot Locke seconds after entering the condominium. The police officer did not have a warrant and was not suspected of the situation under investigation. According to a legal adviser to his family, he was staying with a relative at the level.

According to Attorney General Keith Ellison and attorney Michael Freeman, there was not enough evidence to bring criminal charges against anyone in this situation. The vehicle had been taken after a test drive before the end of last year and was associated with a rigged theft in December. Tests indicated where Amir lived. Officers stormed the scene and fatally shot him.

They were shouting, and one of the officials advised Amir to get down. A policeman kicked over a deckchair in which Locke lay covered by a cover. In a real photo released by police, he then sat up and moved in the direction of police officers as he clutched a gun, his trigger finger resting on the barrel of the firearm in a real photo.

Officer Hanneman then, at that point, shot him twice in the chest and again in the wrist.  Amir Locke was the son of Karen Wells and Andre Locke. His mother, Karen Wells, claimed that she had the gun for self-protection at the hearing in the case.

Karen told a meeting that her son was cremated because she did not believe his remaining parts should remain in Minneapolis. She did not cover her son in a similar graveyard where he was killed. His people have spoken with numerous journalists in the Capitol Rotunda in St. Paul, Minnesota, lobbying for the government. According to his family, Amir was a hopeful artist who was going to move to Texas.
