Amaravati, Sept 12 (IANS) Farmers from 29 towns in Amaravati district set out on a second Maha Padyatra from here on Monday to petition the Andhra Pradesh government to execute the High Court’s request to upgrade Amaravati as the main state capital.
After offering petitions at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy shrine in Venkatapalem, the pioneers and members of Amaravati Parirakshana Samithi (APS) and the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Amaravati cattle farmers began the long trek, which corresponds to the end of 1,000 days of his dissidence against the trifurcation. from the state capital.
Cattle farmers, horticultural workers, ladies and people from different backgrounds take part in the Padyatra. They vowed to continue their battle until the state government withdraws its transition to having three state capitals.
