Famous Nigerian humorist Akpororo has revealed ways to recognize people who will perform ineffectively in the gig market after returning from abroad. As the comic indicates, this includes any and all people who basically go back to Nigeria and say “there’s no place like home.”
Akpororo guaranteed in a video he shared through web-based entertainment that every time someone makes such a comment, it simply shows that they are poor. “Every time you hear someone who just arrived from abroad say ‘There’s no place like home,’ you don’t get cash,” he said.
Although Akpororo was born and raised in Warri, a city in Delta State, Nigeria, where he accepted his initial mentorship, he is a local from Ilaje, Ondo State.
Before entering Opa Williams’ National Comedy Challenge in 2008 and winning the Calabar area from opposition, his career had been spent performing locally as a gospel craftsman.
