According to the NYPD (New York Police Department), two women dropped Maxine off at Jacobi Medical Center in Morris Park shortly before 2 a.m. Tuesday, and the two women left the area after dropping her off.

After she lay dormant and lethargic, the medical team gave her death, with police learning the moment medical clinic representatives called 911 at 1:51 a.m. Her death is considered doubtful. The authoritative motive for death was not fully resolved by the Office of the Medical Examiner.

According to an NYPD representative, the two women told medical authorities an “alternate story that had nothing to do with anal infusions.” The ladies claimed to be “great Samaritans” who saw Messam “in a difficult situation at Woodlawn Cemetery and needed to help her,” according to the News.
