Brayden was among the first to pledge to the University of Nevada in 2021, however he subsequently backed out. Brayden, then a three-star recruit, de-committed after getting an offer from Colorado State.

At Colorado, the teenager has already captured many hearts with his performance against Colorado University. Brayden Fowler Nicolosi was 34-of-47 for 367 yards in just his second career start. He had three touchdowns and three interceptions, and although the Rams lost the game, Brayden emerged as a new star on this football squad.
