A friend said: “I’ve known her since she was a little girl and she’s always been so lovely, which makes my heart break even more because she really wasn’t a nasty person.” Gwent Police are requesting information after she was found “unresponsive” at around 11:30 am. m. of May 12.
Chief Inspector Virginia Davies said: ‘Officers will carry out further investigation at this time and will remain on scene as the investigation progresses. “You may see ongoing police activity in Newport as part of this job, but don’t be alarmed.
“If she has concerns or information, please stop and talk to us.” Ch Insp Davies added that the force would be “making a referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) in accordance with standard procedures”. Anyone with information should contact the police.
