Melanie seems unaware of her Mercedes-Benz A-Class slowly backing up, only noticing her when she briefly honks the car horn as she closes the doors. Melanie can be heard screaming ‘Oh shit’ as she quickly realizes what is happening, and is pinned against the front door of the house as the car pulls up in front of her.

He seems to take a moment to pause in bewilderment at her sudden situation, as she can hear her dog panting in the background. She then can be seen turning towards the street where her neighbor’s children are playing and she calls for help.
However, the children do not seem to respond to Melanie, who then makes another attempt to push the car back from the gate. Melanie then desperately calls her neighbor: ‘Charlotte? I need your help, fast!
Charlotte doesn’t seem to respond, but then her daughter can be heard walking over and asking what’s wrong. Melanie laughs in disbelief when she says, ‘Can you put the parking brake on me?’
In a moment of heroism, her other neighbor, James, appears around the corner when Melanie asks for his help. She bursts out laughing as she repeats, ‘James, can you put the parking brake on me?’
To her relief, James approaches and can be seen getting into the car to comply with her request as he jokes, ‘Damn.’ I almost got run over. She directs James to the handbrake and says, ‘It’s my driver’s side. It’s the little push.

Speaking to Melanie today, he said: ‘I went to pick up the car for its MOT and walked the dog to get it.
I didn’t even realize I had done it, I forgot. He didn’t even cross my mind and as you can see I only realized it when he started coming back to me.
‘I thought he was going to crush me. Nellie tried to go around the other side of the car and you can hear me calling out to her.
“I heard the kids on the trampoline in my neighbor’s yard and then my other neighbor’s partner, James, came out and put the handbrake on me.
“I uploaded the video because I thought menopause is a big thing, but I just laughed. I thought it was kind of funny, but I didn’t expect to get so many views.’
Melanie shared more moments of brain fog that she has now attributed to menopause.
She added: ‘I have insomnia, I’m not sleeping. So, I woke up a couple of days after that happened, I went to my living room, and I thought I saw my vaporizer.
“I went looking for him and saw that my patio door was open. I closed the curtains, thinking that I had closed the door!
I have also put the milk in the oven instead of the fridge. It’s all little things like that.
